Hill Concrete is a small company specializing in full concrete driveway and walkway replacements. Tom Hill founded the company in 1976 and has owned and run it ever since. With Tom doing much of the work himself, Hill Concrete is an owner-operated company. Tom explains how he got into the business: “My father worked in the concrete business for 60 years. I worked with him during the summers, on weekends, and whenever I could find the time. He taught me the business. I only have two other employees, and they have both been with me for five years. I like our small size because when I am doing the work myself, I can make sure it is done right.” Hill Concrete’s customers say that Tom’s efforts are working. As one customer said, “Hill did a driveway for me, and it was an excellent job. They were professional, and the cleanup was excellent. I am happy with the results.... That’s the reason I called them back to do patio work.” Hill Concrete carries both workers’ compensation and liability insurance and requires a $1,500 minimum. As Tom says, “We pride ourselves on delivering a concrete product that far exceeds the homeowner’s expectations.”
