Ice Melt:

When we get in the winter months you should be mindful of your Concrete Driveway. This year many have had problems with Ice Melt Destroying the Surface of Their concrete driveways.

What happens is the ice melt stays to long on the Concrete Driveway and absorbs into the surface .  Then a few weeks later the surface of the concrete driveway releases and crumbles and leaves your Concrete driveway a mess. The only way to fix the concrete Driveway is to replace it. All the topical solutions are nothing more than a Temporary  band aid they will last only a short period of time.

If you see that it is going to Ice , the best thing to do is buy some play sand and broadcast it over your concrete Driveway, it will give you traction and will not harm your concrete driveway. It is inexpensive and does just as good of a job as ice melt on your concrete driveway.

Keep in mind  a little work will preserve you concrete Driveway
